General Terms and Conditions – Rigó Holiday House & Little Rigó Holiday House

These “General Terms and Conditions” govern the use of the accommodation and services provided by the Service Provider. By these terms, the operator and service provider (Rigó Holiday House at 14 Rigó Street, Lakitelek and Little Rigó Holiday House at 29 Rigó Street, Lakitelek, hereinafter “Service Provider”) enters into a Lodging Agreement with the guest (“Guest”) using the private accommodation services.

1. Contracting Parties

• Guest: Any individual using the accommodation service who places a reservation via the website or in writing through tosrigo14@gmail.com or tosrigo29@gmail.com, and accepts these terms as binding.

• Service Provider:

2. Purpose of the Terms and Conditions These Terms outline the general conditions of the legal relationship between the Service Provider and the Guest. Any matters not regulated herein are subject to current Hungarian legislation and the provisions of the Civil Code.

3. Acceptance of Terms Accepting the Terms and Conditions is a prerequisite for booking and using services. Acceptance is implied when the Guest uses the services of the accommodation.

4. Scope of Terms The Service Provider reserves the right to amend these Terms in whole or in part. They remain in effect as long as the Service Provider provides services. This version is effective from January 1, 2025, until revoked.

5. Territorial Scope Services are available both domestically and internationally.

6. Definitions

• Guest: The contracting party using the accommodation services and accepting these Terms

• Service: Temporary private accommodation service

• Offer: Written quote sent by the Service Provider upon the Guest’s verbal or written request

• Booking: A reservation confirmed in writing by the Service Provider, detailing location, duration, price, and deposit (30%)

• Finalization: The booking becomes effective upon receipt of the 30% deposit, forming a written contract

• Payment and Cancellation Policy: Terms covering booking, payments, scheduling, cancellations, and non-refundable fees

7. Service Provision Conditions 7.1. Entire holiday homes are rented, suitable for families and small groups: max. 6 people (Rigó), 4 people (Little Rigó).

7.2. The Service Provider does not reside at the property. Guests use the house and its facilities independently and at their own risk. All equipment (including garden features and firepit) are available for use during the stay.

7.3. The Service Provider is not liable for injuries or damages resulting from improper use. Guests are responsible for damages they cause.

7.4. Problems must be reported during the stay. Complaints after departure will not be accepted.

8. Booking Process 8.1. Guests may request a quote, which can be amended by mutual agreement. Quotes expire after 2 days if not confirmed.

8.2. Bookings are finalized upon written confirmation and payment of a 30% deposit. Cancellations after payment do not entitle the Guest to a refund.

8.3. Verbal agreements are not considered contractual.

8.4. The contract includes location, period, price, cancellation policy, and these Terms.

8.5. Modifications must be made in writing. Rescheduling is subject to availability.

8.6. Prices may change without notice unless fixed by prior agreement.

8.7. Prices include VAT (currently 18%). Any tax changes will be applied accordingly.

8.8. Local tourist tax is not included and is payable on site by guests over 18.

8.9. The Service Provider is not liable for third-party services listed on the website.

8.10. No refund is given for unused or modified services during the stay.

9. Modifications and Cancellations If the 30% deposit is not paid by the deadline, the booking will be cancelled. Verbal changes are not binding. Written agreement is required for all modifications.

10. Terms of Use 10.1. Check-in: 14:00–18:00. Check-out: by 10:00. Early check-in subject to surcharge.

10.2. Valid ID must be presented on arrival. Acceptance of Terms and House Rules is required.

10.3. The Guest is liable for damages caused.

10.4. Early arrival (before 9:00) incurs a 50% surcharge of one night’s fee.

10.5. Pets are not allowed. Unauthorized pets may result in compensation.

10.6. Smoking is prohibited inside the house.

11. Rejection of Service / Termination The Service Provider may refuse or terminate service if:

• payment is not received

• the accommodation is misused

• the Guest is ill, under the influence, or behaves inappropriately

• force majeure events occur (e.g. war, fire, flood, power outage)

12. Guest Rights and Obligations

• Right to use services and facilities properly

• Contact in case of problems: +36 30 285 6222 / provided email addresses

• Complaints after departure are not accepted

• Must pay fees on time, supervise minors, and cover damages caused

13. Service Provider Rights and Obligations

• Right to retain deposit per cancellation terms

• Right to refuse service per Section 11

• Must investigate complaints and be available during the stay

• Not responsible for guest’s electronic devices or personal belongings

14. Payment and Cancellation Terms 14.1. 30% deposit required to confirm booking 14.2. Balance payable upon arrival (cash or transfer) 14.3. Deposit is non-refundable

15. Liability The Service Provider is not liable for force majeure events or user negligence. Prices include applicable taxes, except the tourist tax. Data is stored only as needed for legal and contractual purposes. Guest acknowledges that legally required data must be disclosed to authorities upon request.
